In May 2023, the Cape Elizabeth School Building Advisory Committee (SBAC) took substantial steps in the school building project. Chair Jordan addressed the need to revise the committee budget early in the month, introducing a new funding plan and scheduling interviews with potential Owner’s Representatives. The committee also progressed in selecting a survey consultant, reviewing six proposals and narrowing them down to three viable options.
In the subsequent meeting on May 18th, Dr. Record announced a finalist for the Survey Consultant position, following interviews with the top three firms. The SBAC developed a straightforward communications strategy aimed at engaging the public and providing clear project updates. Additionally, after conducting interviews, the committee unanimously selected Turner & Townsend Heery as the Owner’s Representative, ensuring the project will proceed with expert oversight and management, and moving closer to realizing project milestones and objectives.
