In November 2023, the Cape Elizabeth School Building Advisory Committee (SBAC) engaged in a series of vital activities, marking significant strides in the school building project. The month was marked by two public forums and three educational visioning workshops, playing a crucial role in shaping the future of the district’s schools. On November 16th and 30th, the SBAC held public forums, including one to introduce Harriman architects and another to present their findings on the current state of school facilities and needs. These sessions provided a platform for community members to understand the project’s direction and offer their input.
Moreover, the SBAC’s focus on collaborative planning and communication was evident through various subcommittee meetings, including finance and communications, held throughout the month. The educational visioning workshops conducted on November 7th, 20th, and 27th offered a participative environment for teachers, administrators, parents, and students to voice their perspectives on current and future educational needs.
